Chana chaat is a light and refreshing recipe of Pakistan & India that is especially made in iftar during Ramadan days. Its a type of chickpea salad that is perfect for summer. Chana chaat is usually made with lemon juice, chopped vegetables like onion, tomatoes, green chilies, cabbage and chunks of boiled poatoes. Its a recipe that have so many variations and tastes delicious in every variation. In every Pakistani home chana chaat have its own ingredients so you may add your variation as well. Today I am sharing a simple commercial recipe of chana chaat which has a very unique taste and is very easy to prepare. I have shared all steps of this Pakistani style special chana chaat recipe for iftar. I hope you will enjoy.
Take a pan, add besan and water in it and combine well.
Turn on the flame and cook this mixture for 2 minutes so that it start to became thick.
After 2 minutes you will notice that it starts to thicken a bit, at this stage add salt, cumin powder, chili flakes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black salt, chaat masala and food color in it. Give a good mix to everything and cook for 30-40 seconds more.
Turn off the flame and let the steam out of mixture for few seconds.
Now add boiled chickpeas, boiled potatoes, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped green chilies, chopped fresh coriander, chopped cabbage in this mixture.
Give a good mix to everything so everything get well combined.
spread some yogurt on top while serving.
Special dahi chana chaat is ready to enjoy.
