This fresh chickpea salad combines fresh vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots. The salad is absolutely addictive due to the divine and well combined flavors in it. This easy chickpea salad would definitely be great for whenever you are short on time or energy, and for any time at all, really. It requires no cooking – you simply mix ingredients together and voila! Salad finished.  Below is the step by step recipe of vegan chickpea salad with desi twist. Do give it a try.



  1. In a large mixing bowl add red chili flakes, salt, lemon juice, vinegar, cooking oil and mix everything well.

  2. Now add remaining ingredients (chickpeas, carrots, cucumber, onion, tomato and mix all these ingredients with already prepared salad dressing.

  3. Combine everything well.

  4. Sprinkle chopped coriander and mint leaves on the salad and serve.

  5. __________ Tips: Cover the salad and let it sit for 30 minutes to up to an hour so that all the ingredients are completely soaked and all the flavors are well combined.

  6. For a fork full of all veggies in salad, try to chop all the veggies in same size.

  7. Adjust the flavors to your taste and preference. If you think the salad needs more lemon juice add it. Also you may add or substitute the veggies as per your choice.
