In cold winter chicken sopas or creamy chicken macaroni soup is a hot, delicious and best way to warm the rainy days of winter. This Flippino noddles soup is loaded with chicken, macaroni and vegetables along with full of flavors broth for the ultimate comfort food.

Sopas means soup is a staple in Flippino cuisine that usually includes macaroni in it. Although commonly elbow macaroni is used in sopa recipe, but you can use any type available at you. As i do not have elbow macaroni at me this time that's why i used penny pasta instead of it. Flippino loves this soup as aside being tasty and inexpensive it is very healthy and comforting. My family loved it, so I recommend do give it a try and especially at any dawat or gathering. You will love the appreciation from everyone.

Ingredients

  • __________________ For Chicken Preparation ___________________
  • Boneless chicken 500 grams (cut in smal cubes)
  • Water 1 cup
  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon or to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • ___________________ Ingredients for Soup ____________________
  • Unsalted butter 1 tablespoon
  • All purpose flour 1 & 1/2 tablespoon
  • Chicken stock 1 liter or you can use 2 chicken cubes and 1 liter water
  • Salt as per taste
  • Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • Chicken powder 1 tablespoon
  • Already cooked chicken
  • Fresh cream 1 cup
  • Chopped carrots 1/4 cup
  • Boiled macaroni 1 cup
  • Chopped green onion 1/4 cup

Directions

  1. In a pan add water and chicken, cook the chicken till it changes color.

  2. Then add salt, black pepper powder, mix well.

  3. Cover the pan and cook the chicken till it completely tender and water dries out. Chicken is ready keep it aside.

  5. In a pot add butter and let it melt completely.

  6. Add all purpose flour in it and let it roast for few minutes till it turns aromatic.

  7. Gradually add chicken stock in it while stirring continuously so that lumps should not form.

  8. Add salt, black pepper powder, chicken powder and mix it well.

  9. Now add chopped carrots, cooked chicken, boiled macaroni, fresh cream, chopped green onion and cook till the soup comes to the required consistency.

  10. Garnish with chopped carrots of green onion.

  11. Creamy chicken macaroni soup is ready to enjoy.
