Creamy fruit salad or fruit cream is a super simple, easy and unique dessert made using fresh seasonal fruits. So simple yet so versatile this dorm room creamy fruit salad combines the deliciousness of an afternoon snack with the energy and nutrition needed in a morning breakfast. This fruit cream or fruit salad with cream is a rich creamy dessert with refreshing flavors. Use fresh and sweet no citrus fruits of your choice for this recipe. Feel free to add mangoes, berries, pitted cherries, papaya, pears, fresh figs, kiwis, apples etc. The most important thing is to cut your fruits into bite size pieces so that the dessert is easy to eat. Avoid highly acidic fruits like oranges as thy do not pair well with dairy. In addition watery fruits like melons should be avoided as well because they will release their water and affect the texture of the whipped cream by making the dessert runny. I like to use vanilla extract or rose water in my fruit cream dessert as the little touch of any of these gives another dept of flavor. The fruit cream dessert made without watery fruits will stay good for 1-2 days in the refrigerator.
Rinse, pee and chop the fruits into small cubes.
Combine fresh or whipping cream along with cream cheese or Greek yogurt, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl.
Combine with a whisk or fork until very soft peaks are formed.
Add the chopped fruits in this bowl and give a good mix to combine.
Garnish with more fruits and chopped nuts, serve immediately.
