I believe that smoothies are the perfect meal or snack no matter what the weather is. It is never too cold to have an awesome smoothie. While living in a dorm room if you are trying to save some money on your meals, being without a kitchen is real challenge. You probably don't have most of the appliances that you grew up watching your mom using in the kitchen in your dorm room. In my own quest for college recipes I came up with several recipes that can be prepared in a college dorm room and they are healthy meals, drinks or snack too.
When you have no time for a leisurely meal, grab this protein packed take on morning dorm room peaches and cream oatmeal smoothie to go. You can throw this peaches and cream smoothie into a cup or drink it as per your choice. Oatmeal smoothies are becoming increasingly popular because of their added nutrients and sustaining ability. This peaches and oatmeal smoothie can keep you energized to start the day or can also be a great recovery after a workout. For me it's like having a peach milkshake but better because it is low in calories. This dorm room peaches and cream oatmeal smoothie will give you all the pleasure of a cold and creamy sweet treat without all the guilt. The honey and Greek yogurt make this smoothie extra smooth and the oatmeal part in it is not over powering. It is just a nice balance. You may even use almond milk or fat free milk in this peaches and cream oatmeal smoothie recipe.
Place the oats in a blender and process it until the oatmeal resembles flour.
Add the remaining ingredients and process until everything is fully combined. You can get the thickness of your preference by adjusting the liquid in the smoothie.
Pour the smoothie mixture in a bowl or drinking glass. (If you are eating it as a smoothie bowl, add fresh fruit, granola, pistachio or other chopped nuts, it gives textural variety and colors to your smoothie bowl).
