For most of us ice cream is important as a happy pill in every mood. Growing up ice cream has become an integral part of our lives as it is a perfect remedy for hot weather. Although we have always the opportunity to get the store bought ice cream whenever we want but I prefer homemade on store bought in all food items. There are hundreds and thousands of homemade ice cream on internet some of these involves ice cream machine and some not. I have tried some of these recipes but he result was not as good as the store bought have.
Today i am sharing easy homemade chocolate ice cream recipe. The recipe requires not so many ingredients. Make this vegan chocolate ice cream with 1/2 liter milk only. This is also the recipe of chocolate ice cream without condensed milk. I hope you will enjoy it.
In a pan add milk along with sugar. (Take almost 1/2 cup of milk out of this as we will need it later).
Put the pan on medium flame till the milk starts to boil and sugar melts completely.
After the boil add fresh cream in this and give a good mix to everything.
On the other hand the 1/2 cup of milk that we put aside, add cocoa powder in it and mix well.
Now add this cocoa powder mixture into the milk that is already boiling.
Cook the milk on medium low flame for 20-25 minutes so that it come to a thick consistency.
After the time you will see the milk has changes its color to dark chocolate shade and it becomes thick a bit as well. Do not make it too thick as the cocoa in it will start to burn.
Take it off the flame and let it cool down completely.
Now prepare the whipping cream for the ice cream. In a large bowl add whipping cream and powdered sugar.
With an electric mixer beat the cream well till the stiff peaks form in it. This will take almost 8-10 minutes.You can do this process with hand whisk as well but it will take a lot of time and effort.
Gradually add chocolate mixture in the whipped cream while mixing continuously with electric beater. (you can add chopped chocolate as well at this stage if you want to add more chocolate flavor to your ice cream).
Batter for ice cream is ready. Pour it into an airtight container. Spread some mini chocolate chips over the top.
Add a layer of butter paper on it and then put the lid of container.
Put it in the freezer for 6-8 hours.
Take out and enjoy the tasty homemade chocolate ice cream without ice cream maker.
