Today I am sharing with you recipe of Imli aur aloo bukharay ka sharbat (tamarind and plum drink) which is not only thirst quencher and refreshing but also has so many health benefits. It is a rich source of vitamin E, B C, calcium, iron, potassium and dietary fiber. Imli aloo bukhara sharbat is a refreshing drink for iftar during Ramadan as well. The recipe that I am sharing today is a make and store imli aalo bukharay ka sharbat that you can prepare before Ramazan. You may store it for 1-2 months easily without using any chemical. I have tried to share a detailed step by step recipe of how to make imli aloo bukhara sharbat along with video for your ease.
Soak aalo bukhara/prune and Tamarind in two separate bowls for 1-2 hours.
Then de-seed them and grind the pulp of both in a jug.
Strain the pulp and keep aside
In a pan add water and sugar and cook for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolve. Let the sugar syrup boil a bit.
Now add grinned pulp, salt and black salt in it, mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
Do not cover the pan. Imli Aloo Bukhara sharbat is ready.
Let it cool and then store in glass bottles.
