Masala rice is a simple and delicious recipe that you can prepare in 30 minutes with leftover boiled rice. Masala Fried Rice is a flavorful and spicy rice recipe prepared with dry spices and vegetables. Although I have fried the chicken in a different pan, it is actually a one pot recipe and you can also fry the chicken in the same pot. This Pakistani style masala rice recipe is very easy to prepare and hence an ideal lunch box recipe that is appreciated by kids and all age groups. Rice is mixed with spices and masala along with a selection of vegetables. Delicious warm or at room temperature, masala rice can either be a light lunch on its own or can be served for dinner with korma, curry or chicken. I have tasted this rice in a restaurant few days back when I was with my family and I simply loved its taste. So I decided to try this at home, and here I am sharing with you recipe of restaurant style masala rice today. The ingredients are very simple, spices are easily available and also can be changed in accordance with you taste and choice. Skip the chicken if you don’t want it and just prepare the vegetable masala rice.
In a mixing bowl add chicken, salt, black pepper powder, corn flour and egg white.
Mix everything well so that chicken could be well coated.
In a pan heat the cooking oil over medium flame and add the chicken in it. Fr the chicken till its turn golden brown from both sides.
In the same wok and oil add chopped garlic and cook for few seconds.
Add eggs and scramble these quickly in the oil.
Add chopped carrots, green chilies and fried chicken in it, mix well.
Add chopped capsicum and white part of green onion, mix well.
Now add salt and black pepper powder and combine well.
Add boiled rice and garam masala powder in the prepared masala and mix these well.
Mix zarda color in water and pour it over the rice, combine so that rice could be well coated with it.
Lastly add green part of green onion and turn off the flame.
Quick, easy to prepare with few ingredients masala rice are ready to serve.
