There is nowhere to go in the dorms that have ovens to prepare baking recipes so you need to have no bake recipes in hand. I have already shared so many recipes on my website that you can prepare in your dorm room without much of a heat source at all. Here again I am sharing no bake nuts and chocolate bars recipe which is quick. delicious and easy to prepare. These dorm room no bake nuts and chocolate bars makes a wholesome snack or healthy dessert. These healthy chocolate nut bars are one of my favorite no bake recipe to make. These chocolate bars with nuts are full of protein, layered with dark chocolate on top and the best part is there is no added sugar. Actually there is no need to add the sugar too because this is a healthy recipe so we used honey in it. Whenever you get sweet cravings, go for these no bake nuts and chocolate bars.
In a food processor add roasted nuts and grind coarsely. then transfer to a bowl.
Add honey in these chopped nuts along with some salt and combine well. Honey will give binding to the nuts and required sweetness. If you feel the mixture is dry and not coming into binding shape do add 10-20 grams more honey.
Take a square pan and line it with parchment paper.
Put the mixture in this prepared pan, flatten it making a thick layer.
Put the pan in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to get it set.
Mean while add the dark chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and heat it for 40 seconds.
Add coconut oil in this melted chocolate and stir well.
Take the pan of nuts mixture out of fridge after the setting time, pour the melted chocolate mixture on nut mixture and spread it evenly with the back of a spoon.
Put the pan back again in the fridge for 20 minutes more.
After the time take the mixture out, remove it from pan and also remove the parchment paper.
Heat a sharp knife in the hot water, wipe out the water from knife and cut the bar into squares.
Dorm friendly no bake nuts and chocolate bars are ready, store in any airtight jar in the fridge and enjoy.
