Donuts may just be one of the most delicious desserts you can think of, whether glazed, custard-filled, or dipped in chocolate. There are endless amounts of flavors and types of donuts or doughnuts, that you will be delighted to see if you are a fan of this pillowy sweet deliciousness. These best homemade donuts are Light and fluffy, crispy fried, coated in sweet white or chocolate glaze these deep fried doughnuts are amazingly delicious. This is an irresistible treat anyone can make at home, by hand, and without any special ingredients or professional tools. These glaze donuts will taste as good as the ones you’d find at a bakery. I will also share with you 3 different glaze styles. This is a super easy recipe of homemade glazed doughnut that you can make for any gathering and enjoy the appreciation of everyone.
In a bowl add sugar , vanilla essence and milk, beat till the sugar dissolves.
In another bowl add egg along with warm water, sugar, yeast and mix well. Cover this bowl and let the yeast rest for 10 minutes so it may rise properly.
In a large mixing bowl add all purpose flour and butter. Give a good mix with hands so butter may incorporate well with flour.
Add yeast mixture and milk sugar mixture in flour, combine well. The donuts dough should be sticky not stiff. If required add some more water.
Take the dough out over a flour dusted work surface and knead the dough for about 10 minutes. With this kneading the dough will became less sticky but it will remain soft.
Grease the bowl with some oil and add the dough in it.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rise till it became double in size. This will take about 45-60 minutes or more depending on the temperature in your area.
Mean while we will prepare glaze for donuts. For chocolate glaze we will take melted butter in a pan along with milk, vanilla, powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Mix well.
Keep the sauce stirring and cook over low flame till the sauce thickens.
Turn off the flame and keep it aside.
For white glaze we will
When the dough rise and gets double in size, punch it and take out of bowl.
Dust the counter top with some flour and roll the dough over it. Roll it into 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut the donuts with any round cutter or glass. Cut in the center of donuts with any nozzle or small bottle lid.
Take out the cut dougnuts and roll the remaining dough again.
Dust some flour over a tray and put the donuts on it. Cover the tray, let the donuts rest again for 15-20 minutes.
In a pan add cooking oil for deep frying donuts, heat it over low flame. The temperature should be about 160 C.
After the resting time add donuts in the oil, let these fry from one side for 1 minute. Do not over crowd the pan with donuts.
Flip the side and cook for 1 minute from other side as well.
Take out and fry the remaining donuts in the same way.
When the donuts are still warm dip these in the prepared glaze, put over a wire rack so excess glaze may drip out.
