It is not loaded with cream or ice cream and you can have it as on the go breakfast. The recipe of this dorm room chocolate almond milkshake is loaded with goodness of almonds, banana and dates. You can skip the banana in accordance with your taste or substitute with other fruits like blueberry, strawberry or peaches, but do not use citrus fruit. This chocolate almond milkshake will not only boasts up the energy level in the morning but also take care of the nutrition to kick start your day. You may skip the dates or may add dates syrup but dates add a lot of fiber, so I prefer to use as a whole. I used almond milk to prepare gluten free chocolate almond milkshake but you may use dairy milk or any other plant based milk.
In a blender add almond butter, dates, frozen bananas, cocoa powder and dates.
Pulse for few times to break up the bananas and dates.
With the food processor running, stream in the almond milk and blend until smooth.
Pour in the serving glass, garnish with mini chocolate chips and enjoy.
