Meethe box patties is a very special recipe due to its unique taste and easy preparation. This is a make and freeze recipe of meethe box patties that you can prepare ahead of time. This is a no bake deep fried box patties recipe and different in a way that it is sweet not savory. A Ramadan special and iftar special recipe that can be easily prepared.

  1. In a frying pan add ghee and let it heat on medium to low flame.

  2. Add chopped almonds, cashew, pistachio and roast these while stirring continuously. Fry for a minute and then take out.

  3. In the same frying pan add khoya and roast it as well on low flame. Stir it continuously as well.

  4. Take it out and let it cool down completely.

  5. In the khoya add roasted nuts, raisins, chopped dates and powdered sugar. Mix everything well and set aside.

  6. Take al purpose flour in a bowl,gradually add water to make a thick paste. Tis will be used as a glue to seal the box patties.

  7. Take a samosa patti, put the flour paste in the center and then place another samosa patti over it in a cross pattern making a plus sign. See the video for detail tutorial of to fold the box patties.

  8. Place the prepared khoya filling in the center, Put the flour paste on the edges. Fold each of the edge one by one over each creating parcel. Make sure the parcel is completely closed.

  9. Repeat the same process with complete filling.

  10. You can freeze the box patties at this point, put these in a ny airtight container in a single layer. You can store these easily for a month.

  11. Heat oil for deep frying box patties on medium low flame.

  12. Add the box patties and fry from all sides till golden brown.
