Makhni beef is a rich in flavors, delicious and tasty dish. The dish is easy to make and is full of flavors. Many of you have tried makhni handi or dal makhni but this recipe is a super recipe on its own. This restaurant style beef makhni can be prepared easily without extra effort. My family enjoys its traditional degi flavor along with creamy texture. Do give this dhaba style makhni beef a try and enjoy the appreciation from your family and guests.

In a grinder add cloves, cinnamon stick, black & green cardamom, cumin seeds and cashew nuts. Grind to make a powder.
Now add fresh mint, green chilies, fresh coriander and water. Grind it to make a paste. Set it aside.
In a pressure cooker add beef, sliced onion, chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste along with water. Give a mix to everything.
Cover the pressure cooker and cook the beef on medium flame for 20-25 minutes or till the beef gets tender. (If you are not using pressure cooker adjust the water level and timing till the beef gets properly tender).
Change the pot and add cooking oil it the beef. Let extra water reduced from beef on high flame. (4-5 minutes).
Add tikka masala, red chili powder, coriander seeds, garam masala powder. Mix well and fry till oil separates.
Turn the flame to low and add yogurt. Give a mix, and add prepared cashew paste in the beef. Turn the flame to medium and cook for 2-3 minutes until oil separates.
Turn the flame to low again and add fresh cream. Give a mix, turn the flame to medium and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add chopped fresh coriander and mix well.
Top with butter and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Delicious beef makhni is ready to enjoy.
______________ Note: You may even prepare this recipe with mutton and make it mutton makhni if you want to. Cooking time will vary for mutton so adjust it accordingly.
